Franciscan monastery at St. Trojica in Slovenske Gorice is a unique specialty of the region. Together with the church of St. Trojica with three bell towers forms an unique architectural complex above Trojica lake. Its beginnings date back to 1631.

In the basement of the monastery, which is one of the centres on the pilgrimage route from Szombathely (Hungary) to Tours (France), there is the St Martin’s Protocol and Exhibition Centre.. The premises are intended for the promotion of the wine shop with local wines, tourist activities, exhibitions and other events.

The Franciscan monastery also contains a museum and a monastery library with more than 3,000 precious books, the oldest of which even date back to the 15th century.
