Ocvirkovka belongs to the group of characteristic ‘pogač’ of Slovenske Gorice. Pogače are a group of simple country dishes made of puff or pulled dough, filled with cottage cheese, local fruit and other local goods, and baked in a baking tray in an oven or brick oven.
It is made from rolled out yeast dough, which has cracklings spread on top. Garlic, sour cream, cheese or cheese can be added to the cracklings.
