Franc Breg Beekeeping Museum and Sopl Beekeeping

At the Sopl beekeeping farm, there is also a beekeeping museum on display, which houses beekeeping exhibits that are more than 100 years old, including various hives, beehive extensions, tools for the production and processing of bee products, beekeeper’s equipment and propolised bee pests and a passionate honey lover, full of bear.

The Sopl estate has been involved in beekeeping for over 50 years. They keep bees in three covered apiaries and free-standing hives; their specialty is also a rich beekeeping museum with old exhibits, where a taxidermy bear greets you at the entrance. In addition to beekeeping products, they offer several types of brandy made from home-grown fruit and honey. Due to the bees in the old orchard and nearby vineyard, they do not use pesticides, which is why their products achieve excellent quality.
